Wanda Von Mize was born in Seminole, Texas in 1949 to Clyde Henry and Ava Lee Mize. Along with her twin brother Wayne, she was the youngest of ten children. Wanda’s family eventually moved to Anson, Texas, where she grew up and attended high school. There, she met her sweetheart, Jim Liner. Jim and Wanda were married in 1973 at First Baptist Church of Anson. They lived there for many years, owning several businesses in the community- including the Brazos Station cafe where Wanda, along with her two sisters Linda and Sue, made their homemade pies famous! Wanda and Jim also raised their daughter, Jennifer in Anson, before moving to Abilene.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, three of her sisters (Joyce Graham, Sue Hudgins and Linda Taylor-Hagler) and four of her brothers (Doyle Mize, W.T. Mize, Reevis Mize and Reeves Mize). She was very fortunate to come from such a strong and loving family.
Wanda is survived by her husband Jim Liner, her daughter Jennifer Ramos and husband Ricky, her two granddaughters Ava and Sophia Ramos, her twin brother Wayne Mize and her sister Ann Black.
Wanda Von Mize-Liner was a very strong Christian woman. She spoke about her faith without fear or hesitation, loved her family unconditionally, adored her two granddaughters and was a blessing to all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed!
