Vickie Joyce Courville

Vickie Joyce Courville, 78, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on May 14, 2026, in Abilene. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with the family officiating. Burial will immediately follow. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Vickie was born in Wichita Falls to Vernon Watson and Pat Brown on July 26, 1947. She went to school in Pheonix, Arizona and attended Carl Hayden High School where she graduated in 1965. She married Raymond Courville on January 19, 1979, in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked as a cashier for Target from 1992-2009.

Vickie was preceded in death by her spouse, Raymond Courville, Father Vernon Watson and Mother Pat Youngman (Brown). Vickie is survived by her sons; Jason Harguess and wife Helen of Abilene, Raymond Courville, Jr. and wife Susan of Abilene, and Christopher Courville and wife Gyvonne of Waco; Daughters; Angela Harguess and husband Vincent of Abilene, Lorraine Walston and husband Taylor of Murfreesboro, TN, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
