Ty Haywood Means passed away April 7th, 2026 as a result of a car accident. He was 46 years old. Ty was born in Colorado City, Texas to Jeana Blythe and James Means on June 9th, 1979. He graduated from Cooper High School then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University.
In 2013, Ty accepted the Lord into his life and was baptized at North College Avenue Baptist Church in Snyder, his grandparents church. In 2017, he welcomed his pride and joy into this world, his daughter, Dylan Sage Means. Ty was so very kind and loving. He would help anyone that needed him. He gave everything he had to anyone that he loved especially his baby girl.
Ty is proceeded in death by his father, James Means, Grandparents: Dave and Ouida Haywood, and Marie Means & Melvin Means. Cousins, Jennifer Birdwell, Jared Foster and Stephen Adames.
He is survived by his precious daughter: Dylan, Parents: Dale & Jeana Blythe, Brothers: Tanner Means and wife Amanda, Cody Blythe and wife Stormy, and Rowdy Blythe and wife Tonya. Nieces: Grace, Ally Claire, and Madi Means, Savanna Blythe, Jordan and Justice Gray and many other dear friends and family.
Memorial Services will be under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road Abilene, Texas 79606. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday April 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel.
