Tristen Carnagey

Tristen Chet Carnagey, 23, of Abilene, Tx passed away on June 6, 2025.

Visitation will be at 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday June 12th, 2025, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday June 13th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Ray Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Tristen was born in Heerlen, Netherlands to Charles Carnagey and Stacy Foley on April 01, 2002. He went to Bassetti Elementary School, Madison Middle School and graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, Tx in 2020. He has been employed by Texas Department of Transportation since 2024. Tristen was an avid fisherman and loved the lake and all it had to offer. He recently bought his first Harley Davidson and earned his CDL. Gaming and hanging out with friends was his life…always the jokester.

Tristen was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Melvin and Bobbie Robinson and paternal grandparents Charles and Jean Carnagey. This also includes bonus grandparents Mike and Bonnie Foley, Jimmy Graves and Billie Jo Reese, as well as stepbrother Cameron Foley.

Tristen is survived by parents Charles and Tima Carnagey and stepbrother TJ Reddin of Caddo, Tx and Stacy and Leroy Foley of May, Tx and Sarge his beloved black lab. Tristen was loved by a huge family including, grandparents Debbie and Gary Thomas, and Howard Pepper. Aunts and Uncles include Deanna and Jimmy Whetsell, Brandy and Kent Noll, Jesse and Rachel Pepper, and Charlene and Carmelo Alvarez. Cousins include Kourtney and Matthew Miller, Tyler and Amanda Whetsell, Justin and Mariah Serfass, Morgan Serfass, Marcos Alvarez, Michelle Alvarez, Melo Alvarez and Jonathon Foley, Erin and Brittney Carnagey, Misty and Beckett Eby, Summer Carnagey and Tracie Carnagey. . Our family is also blessed with great aunts and uncles, Janet and Jim Garrett, Patti and Terry Schat, Keith and Marla Robinson as well as numerous cousins and family friends.

The pallbearers will be Viviano Gonzalez, Lane Lofton, Justin Pillard, TJ Reddin, Dillon Burton, James Frazier, and Jacob Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tristen’s work crew Nick Reynolds, Logan Marquez, Kelbi Valdez, JT Lozada, Andrew Helfrich and Dashawn Arnold.
