Trisha Marie Kane

1982 — July 3, 2021

Trisha, Trish, Nish, NOT Patricia… no matter what name you know her by, Trisha Marie Kane was likely a golden highlight of your day. Though she was taken too soon, and we are left behind to grieve the void in our lives, we are thankful for the life she lived with us, and for the legacy she leaves. Her friendship and love all leave an indelible mark on us and we will forever carry her with us. We will remember her infectious laugh, gift for movie quotes and trivia, zest for life, and willingness to be up for any adventure. Trisha's photogenic poses and gift for choreography meant she never took a bad photograph, and since she loved to take them we are left with a treasure trove of photographs and videos. We remember her in her daughter Emma's laugh, her mother's smile, her father's wit and gift for sarcasm, and whenever we turn on a 90s radio station or watch an episode of The Great British Baking Show! She was a true crime fan, concert goer and loved to travel with family and friends, especially if there was water or a beach involved. She was unbeatable at any game (unless you cheated), and when it came to Mad Libs, it was impossible not to laugh until you cried. Her honesty, authenticity, loyalty and strong sense of self were all qualities we admire about her and we will miss. Trisha Marie Kane (Williams) was born July 28, 1982. Trisha fought cancer fiercely for almost seven years and finally succumbed to her illness on July 3, 2021. Trisha was a lifelong Abilenian and proud graduate of Abilene High School, class of 2000, where she was a member of the Gold Rush Drill Team and excelled academically. She graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2004 with a degree in psychology. She married her devoted husband, Mike Kane, September 10, 2011 and together they have one daughter, Emma, the greatest joy of their lives. Mike was her devoted and faithful caretaker for her entire illness, as well as her parents who were an integral part of her care and comfort. Mikey lived the vows of love during the worst of times, holding her hand until the end. She was in death, as in life, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Emma, her parents Toby and Melany Williams, her brother Brian Williams and his fiancé Christine Kitchen, in-laws: Scott and Cindy Washburn, and Mitchell Washburn, aunts and uncles: Susie and Steve Scott, Cindy and Ronnie Carter, Patricia and Ray Kucharski, Ann and Charles Meads, John and Amy Kane, nieces: Layla Poynor and Peyton Williams, as well her favorite cousins: Tami Sooter, Jenny Humphrey, Molly Evans, and Amy Willey. She is also survived by her honorary family: the friends she made as far back as elementary school. Her funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 1202 S. Pioneer Drive Abilene, TX on Friday July 9,2021 at 11:30am. Visitation will be July 8, 2021 from 6-8pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd Abilene, TX. There will be a Kane family benefit honoring her life July 24, 2021 at Mulligans.
