Timothy Vernon Propst passed away peacefully at Hendrick Hospice Care on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the age of 72 after a battle with COVID and pneumonia. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 30th at The Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Anson, TX. Tim was born on February 13, 1949 to Roy L. Propst and Wilma R. Littlefield Propst in Anson, Texas. He graduated from Anson High School in 1967. He then achieved a Bachelors in Science degree from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos, Texas. Tim and his friends and partners, Jerry Andrus and Ed Farnsworth, started Clearfork Roofing and Clearfork Inc in Abilene, Texas. He was a Rotarian for many years and a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. He worked the last 12 plus years with his partner, Robert Leggett, and helper, Randi Williams, doing home improvement/remodeling. He loved working with his hands and working with wood. Tim was a very intelligent man and always enjoyed learning more, recently via YouTube videos. Tim was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, John David Propst, and sister-in-law, Lou Propst. He is survived by his loving wife, Susie Kamrath Propst, daughter, Jenna Hatfield and her husband, Ryan, of Borger, Texas, daughter, Stefanie McAliley of Converse, Texas, 8 grandchildren – Michael, Keira, Stormy, Shaylee, Aubrie, Leah, Drake, and Dusty, and 3 great- grandchildren – Lily, Ryan and Cipher, and childhood friends he was still blessed to have in his life, Steve Moody and Joe Ed Boaz, and many other relatives and friends. Tim was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his God, his country and his many faithful pets and was proud to be a native Texan and Abilenian.
