Teresa Blackburn

Teresa Jean Wester Blackburn was born March 28th, 1951, and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 9th 2025.

Teresa was born in Coleman, Texas to Alford Buddy and Alma Wester. Teresa graduated from Coleman HS in 1969 and also attended two years of additional study at Cisco Jr College. Soon she relocated to Ruidoso, NM, where her son Ramey was born. Teresa moved back to Texas in the late 70s where she met and married W.H. Blackburn III and added his two children, Robin and Todd, to their family. Over the years, together the family attended numerous stock shows across Texas showcasing their registered horned Hereford cattle. W.H. And Teresa enjoyed over 40 years of marriage, family and fellowship as members of the Elmdale Baptist Church.

Teresa is survived by her Husband, W.H. Blackburn of Abilene; son Ramey Burke and daughter in law Christy Burke of McKinney; Daughter Robin Buckner and son in law Micah Buckner of Abilene and son Todd Blackburn of Abilene. Grandchildren include Lilly Burke of McKinney, Austin, Memphis and Charlotte Buckner of Abilene. Teresa is also survived by her older sister, Carol Hodges of Clyde, nephew Cody Hodges and wife Kate and nephew Laramie Hodges.

Pallbearers are Ramey Burke, Todd Blackburn, Micah Buckner, Cody Hodges, Austin Buckner and John Adkins.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Drummond and Memphis Buckner.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday June 11, 2025, at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Hamil Family Funeral Home, burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 US-277, Abilene, Texas.
