Sandra Goldsmith

September 25, 1953 — November 24, 2023

Sandra "Sandy" June Hogan Goldsmith passed away on November 24, 2023 in Abilene. A memorial will be held at a later date.

Sandy was born September 25, 1953, in Merkel, Tx, to June and Leona Hogan. She graduated from Merkel High School, received her BBA from McMurry College, and her MBA from Abilene Christian University. She was a CPA in private practice.

Gary and Sandy enjoyed 20 years together. They enjoyed music concerts and traveling especially to St. Martin and Jamaica. They were married on their favorite beach in Jamaica.

Sandy had a green thumb and took pride in her beautiful flowers. She enjoyed sewing in her younger years. She had a tender heart for animals. She was a former member of John Davis Chapter of DAR serving as Regent for one term.

Sandy loved her family. She thought of her niece Hilary as her own.

Preceded in death by her parents, all of her aunts and uncles, and brother in law Bill Alexander. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Gary Goldsmith, his daughter Hayley Goldsmith and her two sons; sisters Jackie Alexander and Wendy Motley (Scott), niece Hilary Motley (James), great nephew Ethan Gutierrez, great niece Kinsley Hopper, and bonus nieces Breana and Kylie Hopper, and her beloved dog Buster.

The family would like to express our appreciation of Lyndale Memory Care for the care of our loved one.

Memorials may be made to Rescue the Animals or Hendrick Home for Children.
