It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemary "Mimi" Ferrell Johnson on September 28, 2024. Born on December 9, 1936, and raised in Anson, Texas, Rosemary cherished her time playing in the school band, a fond memory from her early years
In 1954, she married Ted Ferrell, with whom she shared many loving years until his passing. After Ted’s death, Rosemary found love again and remarried Bill Johnson on December 7, 1990, in Lake Tahoe. Bill first saw Rosemary in a newspaper where she was modeling a sweater, and he boldly called her for a date. Her answer was “yes,” and the rest has been a wonderful history together.
Rosemary was known for her boundless love and care for others. She was a woman who was always thoughtful of everyone around her, never complaining, and her kindness was both genuine and unyielding. She had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel special, always complimenting others with heartfelt sincerity.
One of her greatest joys was dancing with Bill at every opportunity. They were members of four different dance clubs, sharing countless treasured moments together on the dance floor. She also loved playing bridge with friends, finding joy in the game and the camaraderie it brought her. Rosemary held her faith close to her heart, with her favorite Bible verse being Psalm 23, which provided her with comfort and guidance throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Johnson, and her adoring family: Rodney Ferrell Sr., Toni Ferrell, Justin Ferrell, Courtney Ferrell, Brooklynn Ferrell, Rodney Ferrell Jr., Inna Ferrell, Ashton Ferrell, Luca Ferrell, Aron and Tiffany Salazar, Kristian Yeats, Rylan Simer, Erin Yeats, Kohen Simer, Kade and Kamryn Salazar, Brian and Irma (Cevallos) Ferrell, Lynzi and Peyton Rodriquez, and Leighton and Lux Rodriquez, Denise Coates, Brent and Jennifer Coates, Cooper, Clara and Evelyn, Kelsey and Jimmy Vu, and Dylan.
