Ronnie Blackmore

Ronnie Blackmore of Abilene, Tx passed away June 8, 2022 in Abilene, TX.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, June 10th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 10:00am Saturday June 11, 2022 at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Ronnie was born in Perryton Texas to Carl & Gladys Blackmore on December 17, 1939.  He went to school at Perryton.  He graduated from Perryton High School and from West Texas State University in Canyon, TX.  He married Carolyn Parsons on August 16, 1975 in Abilene, TX.  He worked in Pharmaceutical Sales for over 37 years.  Retiring in 2002 while working he made the Presidents Club three times.  He was involved in Elmwood West Lions Club, was a Meals on Wheels driver for many years.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard.

Ronnies is survived by his wife Carolyn of 46 years.  Two brothers Rob of Richmond, Virginia, Bill of Goodwell, OK.  Three sisters Peggy Lasater of Denton, Tx, Carla Tankersley of Round Rock, TX and Janelle Cochran & husband Harold of Perryton, TX and numerous nieces & nephews.

Memorials may be given to West Texas Rehab Center, Meals on Wheels or your favorite charity.  The family of Ronnie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hendrick Hospice.
