Robert Lawrence Kayfus, Jr. 79, of Bridgeport Conn. passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Big Spring, Texas.

Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road Abilene, TX. 79606.

Graveside services will be held at 10am, Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery, 3226 FM 89 in Buffalo Gap TX, 79508 with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Robert Lawrence Kayfus Jr. was born in Bridgeport, Conn. to Robert Lawrence Kayfus, Sr. and Helen Amelia Kayfus (Hiza) on July 14, 1947. He attended and graduated from Woodbury High School. He married Wanda Sue Brown on November 16, 1968, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene TX. with his brother Thomas J. Kayfus as his best man. He worked as a new home maintenance technician and project manager of construction for the US Homes Corporation for more than 3 decades. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1969 as a munition's technician.

Robert Lawrence Kayfus, Jr. was preceded in death by his oldest and youngest sisters, Elaine Stewart and Nancy Cohen; his brother, Thomas J. Kayfus; and his parents, Robert L. Kayfus, Sr. and Helen A. Kayfus.

Robert Lawrence Kayfus, Jr. is survived by his son, Christopher L. Kayfus; daughter, Andrea L Foster; his brothers, Gary Kayfus and Timothy Kayfus; his sister, Kathleen Paccadolmi; his step-brothers, Paul D. Brown and Raymond E. Brooks, who both served in the Vietnam War as well; two step-sisters, Pamela Roberson and Barbera Brooks; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be assigned at the cemetery.
