Richard William
Splain
Jun 4, 1937 — Jun 14, 2026
Richard William Splain, MSgt (Ret.), USAF
Richard William Splain passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
Richard proudly served 24 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1978. Throughout his life, he experienced a changing world, built lasting friendships, and collected countless stories that those closest to him will remember for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ine, who passed away in 2023. Their years together created a lifetime of memories, and we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.
Richard is survived by his children, Dennis Splain (Mhret), Ronald Splain, and Sue Splain-Parks (Bruce); his grandchildren; his brothers, Lenny Splain (Penny) and Bill Splain; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Dad will be remembered for his sense of humor, his independent spirit, and the unique way he looked at life. He could tell a good story, speak his mind, and leave a lasting impression on everyone he met.
While we will miss his voice, his presence, and the moments we shared, we are grateful for the memories he leaves behind. Though our hearts are heavy, there is comfort in knowing he is once again with the love of his life.
Rest easy, Dad. You had a good run. You’re home with Mom again, and we’ll take it from here.
