Randy Smith

Randall Gene Smith, 62, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, March 4th in Abilene. 

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022,  at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022,  at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories, 5701 Hwy 277, Abilene.  Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home. 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. 

Randy Smith was born in Abilene Tx to R. Gerald Smith (Jerry) and Joyce Evelyn Downs Smith on August 22, 1959. He went to school in Abilene Texas. He graduated from Abilene High in 1977 and attended ACC. He worked with his dad as co-owner of Jerry’s Campers. They started the company in 1982. He retired in 2017. Randy received many awards in sales achievements during his years in the RV industry. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the many years he spent on the golf course with close friends. Randy was a devoted family man and was proud to teach the ones he loved how to be strong, courageous, and successful in this life. He loved his family. 

Randy was proceeded in death by, Johnny and June Downs, and Leo and Edith Smith. 

Randy is survived by his children, Stephanie Low and husband Russell Low, Coby Smith and wife Jessica Smith, Renee Smith, and Katelyn Wilson. His sister Sherry Smith and brother Stan Smith. His parents Jerry and Joyce Smith and his grandchildren Lexi Smith, Baylor Crawford, and Milani Stallworth. 

Pallbearers will be Coby Smith, Stan Smith, Russell Low, Kole Smith, Darren Crider, and Ron Grimm.
