Randy Gene Hibler, age 62, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2025, in Abilene, Texas, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be 12:00pm to 2:00pm and funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Hamil Funeral Home.
The burial service for Randy will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. The Hamil Family Funeral Home, located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, will be overseeing the services. This information is provided to ensure that all who wish to pay their respects can do so in an informed and prepared manner.
Randy Gene Hibler was born in Midland, Texas, to Earnest Wayne Hibler and Bennie Jean Mullican Hibler on August 22, 1962. Randy attended Havlicek Elementary and Lincoln Jr. High in Berwyn, Illinois. After moving to Texas in late 1975, Randy attended Midland High and Lee High Schools in Midland, Texas.
Randy's dedication to family research was unparalleled. His passion for uncovering the details of his Grandfather Amzy Hibler's Army service in WWII, despite the challenges, was a testament to his commitment. This led him to actively participate in fundraising and serve as a committee member for the Hibler Family Reunion. His involvement in bowling and various sports, including Baseball, further highlighted his passion and dedication.
Randy Hibler was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Wayne Hibler and Bennie Jean Mullican Hibler, and his grandparents, Amzy Earnest and Doris Marie Bradley Hibler, Delmar C. and Clara Mae England Mullican.
Randy is survived by his children, James (Nikki) Hibler, Timothy (Victoria) Hibler, Jonathan (Payton Hartman) Hibler, and Phillip Hibler. His siblings include Amzy E. (Tamara) Hibler, Earnest Hibler, Jr., and Debbie Hughes (former wife). His grandchildren are Leif Hibler, Felix Hibler, Harriet Hibler, Airyella Segovia, Justin Segovia, and Bailey Segovia.
May Randy find the peace and rest he deserves. His memory will live on in our hearts.
