Randy Kyle Dewbre passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.

Randy was born on August 25, 1953, in Levelland, Texas to Joe and Edith Dewbre. His family lived in Denver City, Texas in his younger years and moved to Odessa, Texas where he graduated from Odessa High School in 1972.

Wanting to leave West Texas, he moved to Austin, Texas where he met Linda Freeman and her little girl Michele. On November 2, 1973, they married and went on to have 2 more daughters, Emily and Christine. Randy and Linda spent most of their marriage serving the Lord in many types of ministries. From Mexico to New Mexico and back to Texas, from missions to youth groups, as foster parents to pastors, their devotion to the Lord spread over 30 years. Randy was a master with his hands and supported his family as a carpenter and all-around handy man. Later in life, he settled in Clyde, Texas and worked for Coca Cola until he retired in 2015.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Linda Freeman Dewbre, his parents, Joe Everett and Edith Bennett Dewbre, his brothers Justin Doyle Dewbre and Gerald Allen Dewbre, nephews James Everett Curfew and Jason Douglas Kendrick.

Randy is survived by his daughters, Michele Dewbre Kilborn, husband Casey Kilborn, Emily Dewbre-Young and Christine Dewbre and her husband Jason Combs. Sister, Kathy Curfew, husband Jim Curfew and sister, Lynnie Rosebery.

Grandchildren Jeremiah Matthew Dewbre, wife Krista Dewbre, Amanda Lynn Kile, Joshua Don Kile, Samantha Timms, husband Xavier Timms, Alyssa Reena Holley, Kyle Gene Young, Brandal Eugene Tomas Lane, Molly Lynn Mae Gibson, Shiean Snow, husband Khaig and Angel Edmunds.

Great Grandchildren Alyssa Renee Yoes, Trendon Rhyder Dewbre, Barrett Dean Dewbre, Lilian Grace Wier, Sunni Riedel Thweatt, Oliver Creed Kile, Sabastion Fox Kile, Starla Mae Kile, Judas Allen Kile, Jasper Timms, Kimber Timms, Atlas Timms, Luna Mae Irene Snow and Nova Grace Edmunds.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, September 7, 2025, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with Monica Butler officiating with short viewing prior to the funeral beginning at 1:00pm. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas.

A celebration of life will follow immediately after the service at the Abilene Country Club, 4039 South Treadaway, Abilene, Texas.
