Peg L. Smith, LMSW-AP

Peg L. Smith was born December 19, 1940, to R. V. and Mary (Spinks) Leverett in Brownwood, TX. Peg passed away May 28, 2025, in Abilene, TX. She is survived by her nephews Nev and Scotty Leverett and their families, niece-in-law Jackie Leverett and her family, and "God-given Heart Daughter" Tracey Leverett.

Memorial service will be 11:00am Saturday June 21, 2025, at Broadview Baptist Church with Wes Terry officiating.

Peg did not like long obituaries; however, she was known for her Christian values, servant heart, generosity, leadership role at every level of service to numerous charities, non-profits, and encouragement toward others...the kind of woman that when her feet touched the floor in the morning the Devil said, "Oh crimany, she's up!"

Strangers, especially the down and out, did not exist in her life. She loved everyone.

Since funerals are for the living, Peg's desire for her memorial service is for her family and friends to remember that God's goodness puts a song in your hearts, and to celebrate her life by singing, laughing, loving, and serving God's Kids while she dances with Jesus...
