Patsy Hudman

Patsy Ransleben Hudman, 94, of Abilene, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep, January 7, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at  The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

 Patsy was born on May 3, 1928, to Samuel Lee McMillan and Virgie Lee Touchstone in Ballinger, TX.

She was employed as secretary to Judge Carl D. Estes of Monahans before traveling the world with her husband of 50 years, Vince Ransleben. Patsy was a gracious hostess to friends and ambassadors in many countries. She was an accomplished artist, had a great zest for life and always gave a sincere compliment to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Virgie McMillan, her husband Vince Ransleben; husband Lloyd Hudman, and her brother, Glen McMillan.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Linda Fowler and husband Brice; son Randy Ransleben and wife Kathleen; grandchildren April Haas, Louis Haddad and Rachel Ransleben. She also has five great grandchildren: Joseph Haddad, Mikie Otto, Sara Otto, Camelle Haddad and Christina Haddad; niece, Micki McMillan.

The family of Patsy Hudman wish to extend our sincere thanks to the excellent staff at Wisteria Place for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers the family is offering two suggestions for donations:

2.  “Patsy’s Bird Bath” – Patsy loved to watch the birds at the bird feeder we put just outside her window. And when she and Hud first moved to the Wisteria Place he developed a following of what seemed like hundreds of birds with his 5:00 whistle and bird-seed happy hour. We would like to continue the bird-watching entertainment with a bird bath placed in the Wisteria courtyard next to the common area where Patsy and her friends gather for meals and bingo.  Donations can be made to April Haas:
