Patsy Cavitt

October 31, 1935 — April 25, 2024

Patsy Ann (Miers) Cavitt was born on October 31, 1935 in Hamlin, Texas to Anna Mae and LB Miers. She married Glen Cavitt on January 20, 1956 in Snyder, Texas. They moved to Seminole, Texas where they enjoyed many years raising their three sons. She was a member of South Seminole Baptist church where she was active in many groups. She had a heart for sharing her faith with others and went on many mission trips. She moved to Abilene, Texas in 2007 and enjoyed family gatherings and time spent with friends. She was a member of Broadview Baptist church where she continued her mission work for many years. She was active in Kairos Prison Ministry where she spent many hours baking cookies for inmates in prison and attended many services where they gave their life to Christ. She always made a point to be kind to others and show God’s love to everyone she met. She was a mother who made many sacrifices for her sons and their families. She was very proud of her first great grandson and was happy to share photos of him with everyone she met. She gave of herself in every area of her life.

She is survived by her sons Wade (Tami) of Hobbs, NM, Ricky (Teresa) of Brownwood, Texas, and Shane (Kim) of Grand Prairie, Texas and grandchildren Sheana Cavitt of Arlington, Virginia, Maggie (Kosta) Kokkinakis of Raleigh, North Carolina, Canaan Cavitt of Brownwood, Texas, Jordan (Kyle) Henke of Austin, Texas, Austin Cavitt of Grand Prairie, Texas, Lucas Cavitt of Grand Prairie, Texas, great-grandson, Ayrton Kokkinakis of Raleigh, North Carolina, sister, Cindy (Gary) Hicks, sister-in-law Barbara, (Bynum) Miers, nephews Bobby (Sarah) Miers, Jay (Kim) Miers, Shannon (Jamie) Miers of Abilene, Texas, Brad Hicks of Dallas, Texas, and Kale(Tim) Flordelis of Yucaipa, California and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas.
