Patricia Whisenhunt Ray

Patricia Whisenhunt Ray, 75, of Abilene passed away Friday, February 23, 2018.   Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.  Rev. Jim Ritter will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Patricia was born March 15, 1942 in Merkel, TX to Arlie Q. Whisenhunt and Myrtle B. Reynolds.

She was a licensed optician.

She was preceded in death by her father, three sisters, Lois Brubaker, Frances O’Brian and Carol Sue Whisenhunt; and one brother, Gary Don Whisenhunt.

Patricia is survived by her mother, Myrtle B. Whisenhunt of Abilene, her son, Neal Ray of Abilene; one brother DeWayne Whisenhunt of Houston; one brother-in-law, Martin Brubaker of Temple; two aunts, Pearl Pilgreen of Abilene, and Martha Whisenhunt of Merkel; as well as several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Melanie Craig and husband Kevin of Nolanville.

Memorials may be made to the Hendrick League House.
