Ollie Lee Sutton, 82, of Abilene, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, in Abilene. He was born on October 27, 1939, in Abilene to Ollie Lloyd and IvaLee (Brinkley) Sutton.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 6, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 7 at the funeral home, officiated by John Fanning. Burial will follow at Buffalo gap Cemetery.
After graduating from Abilene High School, Ollie became an entrepreneur. He started Sutton Septic Service over 50 years ago, and currently owned Atlas Septic and Grease. Being a local businessman, he was known by many. Ollie had the biggest sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley Jean Sutton, their daughter Dottie Sutton Williams, his brother Royce Sutton, and his sisters Glenda Montgomery and Lorretta K. Horton.
Ollie is survived by his son, Gary Lynn Sutton; daughter, Lanell Sutton Hall and husband Robert; brother, Ray Sutton; sisters, Betty Winters and Nell Wilson; grandchildren, Brande Prieto, Brittney Vilareal, April Sutton, Bryan Sutton, and Cody Williams, and great-grandchildren, Devin Reyes, Devanie Reyes, and Kamry Vilareal.
