1963 — February 21, 2021

Michael Lee Sieger, 57, of Abilene, was called to his eternal home on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Michael was born on July 4, 1963 in Gainesville, Texas to the late Herbert Lee Sieger and Mary Carlene Sieger.

In his early life, Michael made a few mistakes and sowed a few wild oats. One day he decided that this was not working out very well for him. He became a Christian and a man of God. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa where he served on the men's ministry helping the elderly repair and maintain their homes.

Michael was a talented cabinet maker as a young man. He worked in that industry several years. At the time of his death, he was a valued employee of Napa Auto Parts. He was responsible for constructions, remodeling, and maintenance for the stores. He loved working with his hands.

Michael was a veteran, serving in both the United States Army and Air Force. He enjoyed playing golf and watching football and NASCAR races. Michael especially liked restoring his 1969 F100 Ford pickup with his young son, Jason, helping him. His followers on Facebook knew he loved the Bible. He posted many biblical sayings and scriptures to share.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Trish and son Jason of the home; son, Jacob (Sarah) of Gainesville, TX; four stepchildren: Clayton (Sarah), Toby (Megan), Rocco, and Celeste (Dylan); three grandchildren: Kynlie, Peyton, and Landon; sister, May Ann Maynard (Kevin) of Whitesboro, TX; father and mother-in-law, LC and Cathy Weast; sisters-in-law, Lisa and Ashley Weast; brother-in-law, Charlie Rickerson; three nephews, Ryan Leeper (Lyndsey), Jordan Leeper, and Justin Leeper (Megan); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends.
