Michael Chad Montgomery

Michael Chad Montgomery, 50, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022. He was born to Randal and Patricia Montgomery in Lubbock on January 31, 1972.

Chad’s family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, immediately followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm.

Chad will be remembered for how much he loved his family – they were everything to him. Second to the love he felt for his family, was the love he had for deer hunting. He would also spend time barbequing for his family. He married Anna Gilbert, and they moved back home to Abilene last year. He was currently working at Key City Collision as an auto body finishing technician.

Chad is survived by his wife, Anna Montgomery; parents, Randal and Patricia Montgomery; his son, Cody Montgomery; his daughters, Kristen Clay (Jeb), and Kaitlyn Montgomery (Lynn); stepchildren, Bradley Fowler (Erica), and Ashley Hughes; brothers, Chance Montgomery (Holly), and Chris Montgomery (Clarissa); sister, Lisa McNea (Scott); four grandchildren, one step grandson, and multiple nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Chad's life following the service at Ball Ranch Cowboy Church, 525 South Hwy 83, Abilene, TX 79602.
