Mary Louise Robertson

Mary Louise Robertson, 99, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022. She was born on December 2, 1922, in Malakoff, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 30 at the funeral home, with burial following at 2:00 pm at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Hamrick, Daren Hamrick, Tal Fillingim, Talmadge Fillingim, Revis Fillingim, and Duane Hamrick. Johnny Hamrick will be an honorary pallbearer.

Mary was a daughter of the late Irenaeus Prime and Delia Delcenia (Guy) Tidmore. She graduated from Malakoff High School in 1940. She received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX. She taught school in Wharton, TX. She married Revis Olsen Robertson on July 6, 1946, in Athens, TX. They made their home in Hamlin, where Mrs. Robertson was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamlin, and later at First Baptist Church in Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Martha Dee Thompson and Alva Marie Sadler, and brother Watson Tidmore.

Mary is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Revonna Kay and Terry Hamrick of Rio Vista, TX, and Martha Marie and Johnny Hamrick of Tuscola, TX; grandsons, Daren Hamrick and wife Sandi, Tal Fillingim and wife Tyree, and Duane Hamrick; great-grandchildren, Asha and Mandi Hamrick, Talmadge, Elizabeth, Revis, and Savanah Fillingim.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henrick Hospice Care.
