1926 — September 20, 2005

Mary "Caroline" Hibbs, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005, in the Hospice Unit of Hendrick Health Systems. Mrs. Hibbs was born February 26, 1926, in Yakima, Washington, to Otis and Dorothy Stephenson. She married Guy Hibbs in 1946. Caroline was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker, as well as an accomplished businesswoman owning home accessory shops in St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Hibbs was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by three sons and a daughter. Greg Hibbs and wife Rosalind of St. Louis and their children Geoffrey and Cecily, Scott Hibbs and wife Becca of Abilene and their children Jordan and Caroline, Kim Hibbs and wife Jan of St. Louis and their children Alexis and Brandon, and daughter McKenna Ryan and her daughter Tessa. A private family memorial will be held in Glen Arbor, Michigan. Local arrangements were made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home; 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers at Mesa Springs Healthcare Center and the Hospice Unit of Hendrick Medical Center for lovingly ministering to Mrs. Hibbs.
