Katie Gunter, 80, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on September 16th 2024 in Abilene.

Katie Gunter was born in Artesia, NM to Mary & JC Heffley on April 10th, 1944. She went to school and graduated in Artesia, NM. She married Tommy Foy Gunter on Jan 12th 1973 and was married for 47 years. She worked as a Nutritionist for a number years before becoming a stay-at-home mother and wife.

Katie was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Renner; her parents Mary & JC Heffley, her husband Tommy Gunter and daughter Robin Johnson.

Katie is survived by her daughters; Shyla Kloss, Lianne Yount, Brandi Weathered, Jesse Knowles and son Micah Gunter, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
