Marcia L. McDonald, 57, of Abilene, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Abilene. Marcia was born on February 13, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the daughter of the late Loma and Maxine (Seablom) Carter. She was raised in Portales, NM and graduated from Portales High School. After graduation, she attended Eastern New Mexico University and graduated with a degree in Sociology. Marcia met the love of her life while on the dance floor. She and Bob McDonald were married on June 25, 1988 in Portales. In 1988 she and Bob moved to Abilene where she would become a Certified Medical Technician. She served as a nurse for 20 years in Abilene and worked for the Abilene Diagnostic Clinic for 17 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and HOSSA. While in college she was a member of the ROTC. She loved horses, sunsets by the lake and dancing. She and Bob attend Beltway Park Church, North Campus. Marcia was preceded in death by Maxine and Loma Carter, Dixie McDonald (mother in law), and numerous other family members. Marcia is survived by her husband, Bob of Abilene; her daughter, Mariah McDonald Dunn and husband Billy and their children, Lewis, Michael, and Lilly of Tye, Texas; her son, Caleb McDonald and wife Robin and their children, Gavin, Lyla, and Matt of California, Maryland; her daughter, Tara McDonald Neuenkirk and husband Nathan and their children, Sandra, Tristen, Cheyenne, Sierra, and Joey of Winterset Iowa; one brother, Ron Carter and wife Carole of Arlington TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. The family of Marcia McDonald wishes to extend our sincere thanks to everyone we have had the pleasure of meeting.
