Louise Farrell Bynum, 95, of Coleman, Texas passed away peacefully and smiling as she met Jesus on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Holiday Hill in Coleman. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday June 25, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ferris Akins, officiating. Interment will follow in the Potosi Cemetery. Louise was born Mary Louise Taylor (had to have Mary listed after 911 and she hated it) in St. Albans, West Virginia to George Calvin Taylor and Clara Gretchen Helms Taylor on January 24, 1926. She went to school in Charleston, West Virginia and graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1953 (after delaying school to get married and raise a daughter). Louise was married three times. The first to Lacy Wallace, second to Kenneth Farrell and the last to Calvin Bynum. All three preceded her in death. Louise was a devote Christian and dearly loved going to church whenever the doors were open. She worked as a volunteer at Humana Hospital (now Hendricks South) for many years. Louise was preceded in death by her parents George and Clara Taylor, two brothers, Raymond and Randall, two sisters, Rita and Betty, granddaughter, Marilyn Darnell Johnson, a great-great granddaughter, Kaetlyn, and son-in-law, Carl Darnell. Louise is survived by Hobert and Carol Farrell, Sandra and Roy Russell, Brenda Darnell, and Melinda and George Strickland, her grandchildren, Karla and Vinson Higginbotham, Cynthia Darnell, Wayne Russell, David and Carla Farrell, John Farrell, Glenna and Sam Riggs, and Jeremy Strickland. Serving as pallbearers will be Hobert Farrell, Vinson Higginbotham, Carl Higginbotham, Trennan Cauthen, Triston Cauthen and Trenton Cauthen. Family suggests memorials may be made to the Advent Christian Village at Dowling Park, Live Oak, Florida 32064. The family of Louise Bynum wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the loving and caring staff of Holiday Hill.
