Linda Jo (Chrane) Parker

Linda Jo (Chrane) Parker, 80, of Dudley, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on May 24, 2025.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00, Thursday May 29, 2025 at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6448 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30, Friday, May 30, 2025 at Highway 36 Church of Christ with Terry Chrane officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Linda was born in Abilene, Texas to Troy L. Chrane and Josephine (Preston) Chrane on October 21, 1944. She attended schools locally at Wylie and Clyde. She married Walter Martin Parker on June 9, 1962. She spent her life lovingly making her house into a home and raising her rambunctious boys, Marty, Wade and Jason. She was involved in her church, Hwy 36 Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School and helped organize meals and showers for its members.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Walt Parker, until his death in 2016.

Linda is survived by her children, Marty Parker & wife Paula of Dudley, Wade Parker & wife Mia of Dudley, & Jason Moore of Abilene, one sister, Peggy King & one brother, Leon Chrane, both of Clyde, TX. She is also survived by nine grandkids: Lindsie, Whitney, Tanner, Sierra, Brennon, Kaleb, Hailey, Julieanne, & Addison, & 8 ½ great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tanner Parker, Brennon Jones, Kaleb Moore, Zachary Heine, Jayden Curtis, and Kendon Draper. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Ellis & Ty Wallace.
