Linda Inman Mitchell

Linda Inman Mitchell, 76, of Abilene, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Abilene.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday January 30, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Wylie Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Harkrider, officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Linda was born on September 1, 1944 in Gladewater, Texas to Jo (Hyde) and Thomas Inman.  She graduated from Odessa High School. Linda and Dudley E. Mitchell were married on December 12, 1963 in Odessa, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2018.

Linda was a homemaker. She was an avid tennis player and she loved to bowl. She and Dudley moved to Abilene from Odessa in 2005.   

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Natalie Nance and husband Harlan of Stephenville, Texas and Nicole Farr and husband Duane of Abilene; two sisters, Janice Hensley and husband Larry of Odessa and Billie Jo Galvin and husband Donald of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Justin Nance, Jalynn Baldridge and husband Patrick, Cashlin Farr and Caitlin Farr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, West Texas Rehab in Abilene or the Wiley Abilene FFA.

The family of Linda Mitchell wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the many friends and family of the Mitchell family for your kindness and support during this difficult time. We love and appreciate all of you.
