Lillie Ann Jones

Lillie Ann Jones, 83, went to meet her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Abilene, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with Rodney Watson and Mark Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Lillie Ann was born in Haskell, TX to Harley Horace and Bessie Massie Russell on February 13, 1938. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1956. She married Donald Wayne Jones on July 31, 1958 in Abilene. She worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 34 years. She was a member of Lytle South Baptist Church where she and Don worked with the youth, and she later served in the nursery. Lillie Ann was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Tommie Russell. She is survived by her son, Doug Jones and wife Carolyn, two granddaughters, Kristyn Jones & Kathryn Nottage and husband Doug, sisters Wanda McCarron and husband Carl, and Harla Russell. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Davis, Monte McCarron (nephew), Doug Nottage, Glen Sansom, Rick Walker, Keith Whitehurst. Memorials may be given to Lytle South Baptist Church, Building Fund.
