Lena Naill, 85, of Abilene, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Abilene, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., with Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church officiating. A committal service will follow at 3:00 pm at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Rd.

Lena was born in Peterstown, West Virginia to Robert and Violet Bradley on August 11, 1938. She was raised in Blacksburg, Virginia where she would meet the love of her life Norman Naill, Sr. They were married in Blacksburg on October 6, 1956. Together, they moved to Dallas, TX in 1959 and then to Abilene, TX in 1969 where they would raise their family. Lena loved to travel with her husband Norman, taking many cruise vacations over the years. She was a fantastic cook and homemaker, and in her free time enjoyed volunteering with The Pink Ladies of Hendrick Health Care.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Violet Bradley, her brothers: Robert, Johnny and Richard Bradley, her sisters: Mary Slusser, Joyce Hollandsworth, and Deborah Bradley, as well as a daughter-in-law Jill Naill, and great-granddaughter Arianna Naill.

Lena is survived by her husband Norman Naill Sr. of Abilene, her son Norman Naill Jr. of Yukon, OK, her daughter Cindy Naill of the Abilene State Supported Living Center, grandchildren Kristina Munoz and husband Santos of Odessa, TX, Rachel O’Donnell and husband Chance of Boerne, TX, Great-grandchildren: Ayva Munoz, Santos Munoz Jr., Kelton O’Donnell, Dillon O’Donnell, Ayden O’Donnell, and sisters Remona Vaught, Patsy Williams and husband Alvin, and Bonnie Cox all of Blacksburg, VA.
