Kyle Ramon

Kyle Ramon 66, of Abilene passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Kyle was born in Abilene, Texas to Jesse and Lula Belle Ramon on June 11, 1956.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 11:00a.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Kyle spent his entire life in Abilene. At the age of 18 he started his career in the concrete business and was a dedicated employee for the last 48 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and sports, especially North Carolina Basketball, and supporting his grandkids at their sporting events.  In his later years you could find him sitting in a casino at a Hee Haw slot machine. He was a dedicated husband and loving father. Kyle met Tina Steele in 2000, and they married in 2008.  He had a “servant’s heart” and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, without wanting any recognition. Kyle made a large impact on his family, friends, and coworkers, even if it was just lending a listening ear.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kyle is survived by his wife; Tina Steele, daughters, Monica Ramon, Courtney Ramon and Kayla Manning (Taylor);  step children, Crystal Reeves, Melissa Boyd and Brian Steele (Dana Hooper); siblings, Martha Holstine, Clifford Ramon, James Ramon and Kathy Wolford; grandchildren, Elysa Hinds, Maya Volz, Malia Volz, Cohen Manning, Everett Manning and Ivy Manning; step/bonus grandchildren, Kelly Alexander, Logan Alexander, Tayveon Booker, Sierah Booker, Dai’jon Booker, KJ Hooper, Kaelynn Hooper, Branyson Steele and Rowdy Steele.

To help continue Kyle’s legacy, the family asks friends to do what Kyle would do by helping someone in need.
