Kelli Hass

Kelli Lynn Hass passed from this life on June 5, 2025, at Hendrick Medical Center. Kelli was born March 11, 1982, to Janis and Dickie Hass in Fort Worth, Texas. Kelli attended school in the Abilene Independent School system and was an avid Abilene High School alumni. She graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas with a Bachelor of Science.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, with Dr. Dan Stiver officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Kelli is survived by her parents, Janis and Dickie Hass. She is survived by special cousins, Michael Willingham and Misti McWhorter; her uncles, Vernon Willingham and Stanley Hass; aunts, Reba Sue Williams, Cheryl Hunt, Liz Hunt, her "Aunt" Connie Cunningham and a host of cousins.

Kelli was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Gordon and Nollie Hass, her maternal grandparents Herschel and Bobbie Hunt; her uncle, Danny Hunt, her aunt, Janis Hass McWhorter, a very special aunt, Elaine Hass Willingham and her "Uncle" John Cunningham.

Kelli leaves behind very close and dear friends Carrie Stiver, Shauntel Adams, Ashlea Giddings, Sarah Gammill-Barnett, Allyson Wiest-Melton and Kylan Anderson. Kelli was a surrogate mother to a host of her friend's children, including Iylan Collier, U'Niq Adams, Canyon Collier, Cuddy Collier, Hayden Williams, Zavin Davis and Zoey Ellis-White. Kelli was not bashful in handing out her praise and criticisms where she felt it necessary to those surrogate daughters and sons.

Kelli was employed by the Texas Comptroller's Property Tax Assistance Division as a Registered Property Appraiser and was looking forward to continuing a career that she loved.

Kelli shared her strong, spirited, dynamic personality with everyone that knew her. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

The family wishes to thank all the health care providers that tended to her needs during her hospitalization.

Kelli would have requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the donor's favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
