Keith Bowman

Maj. Keith E Bowman (Ret), 74, of Abilene, passed away on June 27, 2025.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery on Monday, August 4 at 11 AM with the Rev. Robert Pase of Our Savior Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Texas State Veteran's Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Keith was born in San Diego, Ca to Harry and Helen Bowman on January 16, 2025. He went to school at Frostburg. He graduated from University of Maryland Frostburg and earned a Master's degree at Northern Michigan University. He married Jan Lynn Moyer on October 21, 1973 in Holy Cross Lutheran Greenbelt, MD. He was a veteran of Vietnam, Cold War, and the first Iraqi War serving in the Air Force as Radar Navigator in the B-52s and wing operations with the B-1s. He was involved in Our Savior Lutheran, Aid Association for Lutheran (now Thrivent), Lutheran Laymen's League.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Helen.

Keith is survived by his wife Jan, his children Keith Bowman Jr. (Julie Ann) and Sara Brown, his grandchildren Rebekah, Abigail, John, Aggie, Alyson, and Ben, his sister Mary Anne (Michael), and his brother Harry (Janet).
