Kathileen Stevens

Kathileen Stevens, 84, of Abilene, passed away on July 11th, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on July 14th at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, Tx.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on July 15th at Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

She was born in Santa Anna, Texas to David Ray Keefer and Eula May Keefer on March 25, 1941. She went to school in Abilene. She graduated from Abilene High School. She married Edger Ray Stevens on April 11, 1959 in Abilene. She worked as a meat wrapper for Albertson's for 20 years.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father David Keefer, Mother Eula Keefer, her husband Edger Ray (Steve) Stevens, son Bill Stevens, brothers Albert Keefer, Austin Keefer, Owen Keefer, and sisters Geneva Adams and Lula Malaer.

Kathy is survived by sister Eula Rae Bailey, son Dennis Stevens and wife Debbie, daughter Barbara DeFoor, and son Jimmy Stevens and wife Tamara. She also leaves behind nine loving grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Josh Stevens, Zach Stevens, Michael Stevens, Rebecca DeFoor, Jay Day, and Landon Hall.
