Katherine "Kathy" Jean Bundy

Katherine "Kathy" Jean Bundy, 69, of Abilene, passed away on April 30, 2025, in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be 4:30 - 6:30 pm Sunday May 11, 2025, at The Hamil Family Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday May 12, 2025, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with David Cason officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Kathy was born in Bradenton, Florida to Paul and Jean Bundy on November 27, 1955. She went to school in Bradenton where she later received her GED. She worked as a home health worker for several years. Kathy always provided support and love for her family.  She raised her grandson Nando since he was a baby.  Kathy was very active with her grandson' s activities, she would volunteer with his Cub Scout troops, school activities, and took him to Team Chip Karate and other events.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy is survived by sons, Fernando Ruiz of San Antonio, Gilberto Ruiz of Abilene, and her 7 Grandchildren Fernando Michael "Nando" Ruiz, Gilberto Martin Ruiz, Marivel Ruiz, Vanessa Ruiz, Victoria Ruiz, Cierra Ruiz,  Endelia Ruiz, and 5 Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Martin Ruiz, Paul Ruiz, Fernando Michael Ruiz, Joey DeHoyos, Abel Longoria and Miguel Gauna.
