Johnson Randolph

John Randolph, 88, of Potosi TX, passed away on 22, May 2025 in Big Spring TX.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m., Tuesday the 27th of May at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene TX.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m.,  Wednesday the 28th at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Potosi Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene TX.

John Randolph was born in California to John and Velma Randolph on 17 October 1936. He went to school in Moran and Snyder TX. He joined the Air Force after High School and while stationed in Liverpool England, he met and married his first love Audrey Pearson. He made a career in the USAF as part of the Titan Missile Program. During that time, they had 2 children, Terrie and Jason. John and Audrey divorced in 1978. He later moved to Abilene TX and worked as a Construction Supervisor for WTU, during that time he met his soulmate Ruby Jean Bynum. They had a wonderful life together living together in Potosi TX when they were not traveling across the country.

John is survived by his wife Ruby Jean Randolph, daughters Terrie and husband Bennie Pinkston, Marla Svedeman. Sons, Jason and wife Melanie Randolph, David Floyd. Grandkids Brian Svedeman, Shannon Lawtum , Christopher Weaver, Jordan Randolph and Kiran Randolph.

Memorials may be given to the Potosi Cemetery Fund. The family of John Randolph would like to thank the Hospice and Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Veterans Home nurses who looked after John in his last days.
