Jerry Chance "JC" Nell

Jerry "JC" Nell, age 15, passed away on Friday, June 20, at his home in Hawley, TX. 

JC was born on August 27, 2009, in Decatur, TX, to Jeremy and Amy Nell. He had a heart as big as he was and was a fountain of random knowledge, often referred to as a walking encyclopedia. Family was incredibly important to him, and he shared a close bond with his brothers. JC was known for his long-lasting hugs and his radiant smile, which could brighten anyone's day. He was a dedicated encourager and a steadfast believer in others. 

JC enjoyed playing poker and board games with his brothers and cousins. He was an artistic soul who loved to draw, play instruments, and sing. His interests were varied and included welding, carpentry, blacksmithing, melting metal in a furnace, and carving. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family. He loved deeply and will be profoundly missed.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 26, at Beltway Park Church - North Campus, located at 2850 Highway 351, Abilene, TX. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

 Honorary pallbearers will include Dawson Nell, Dylan Nell, Sean Smith, Lillie Smith, Liberty Nell, Charity Nell, and Tatum Nell.
