Jerry R Johnson, 75, of Abilene, passed away on March 30, 2023, in Abilene.

Visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, April 3, 2023. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 4, 2023, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, with Pastor David Cason officiating.

Jerry R Johnson was born Abilene, Texas to Albert Lee Johnson and Ruby Joyce Johnson on February 22, 1948. He was an Electrical Contractor for 18 years in Abilene under Johnson Electric, Inc. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was an active member of the Abilene Country Club and enjoyed playing golf on a regular basis with his closest friends.

Jerry R Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Carrol Dale Johnson.

Jerry R Johnson is survived by his children; daughter, Lori Ward and husband Chad of Richland WA, Son, Jeremy Johnson and wife Camie of Abilene; Grandchildren, Jessica Colbray and husband Tujuan of Richland WA, Gracie Pierce of WA, Hayden Keidl of Oklahoma City, and Cooper Ward of Richland, WA. Brothers; Butch Johnson and wife Tina of Tuscola, Charles Johnson and Wife Shelda of Abilene, Sisters Sue Crosby and husband Bobby of Gatesville, Donna Barrett and husband Ed from Slayton, Velma Gann of Cleburne and Darla Green and Husband Fred of Andrews. Numerous Niece and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Big Country or Coronado Nursing & Rehab Center.
