Jenna Dozier

March 31, 1985 — March 6, 2024

On Wednesday, March 6th at 6:15 pm, Jenna Nicole Dozier of Abilene, TX passed away peacefully at Hendrick Hospice Care with her family by her side. As hundreds prayed across the country, the heavens poured down rain and wept with joy as she was welcomed into glory.

The eldest of three daughters, Jenna was born on March 31st, 1985 to Norman Dozier and Shari Dozier Hendricks in Merriam, Kansas. She graduated from Abilene High School in 2003 and moved to Lubbock to get her bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas Tech in 2009, making her a lifelong Chiefs and Red Raiders fan. A lover of travel and experiences, she visited over 20 countries on four different continents, but was always most at home in Jones AT&T Stadium, throwing a party, or on a dancefloor. Upon graduation, she established a career in medical sales and eventually found her professional home working at Choice Medical, helping bring relief and joy to many patients in need.

Jenna loved serving the Abilene community by volunteering with the Junior League and fundraising for Disability Resources Inc (DRI). She sparkled and shined for Hendrick Home for Children’s “Dancing with the Abilene Stars'' and sang her heart out for Ben Richey Boys Ranch “Belting It Out for the Boys.” She petitioned tirelessly for breast cancer research and early detection, and used her passion to spread awareness by modeling in events for Hope for the Cure, the Cattle Baron’s American Cancer Society, and the Cancer Services Network. She also served on the community advisory board for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health.

Jenna was preceded in death by her grandparents Pete and Sally Gee, Norma and J.F. Dozier, and uncle Allen Dozier, whom she is now reunited with in glory. She is survived by father Dr. Norman Jay Dozier, mother Shari Gee Dozier Hendricks and stepfather Dr. John Hendricks, sisters Dr. Jackie Zimmerman and Jaye Constanzo, stepsiblings Piper, Camden, and Barrett Hendricks, and all of their children who served as beloved nieces and nephews by both blood and marriage.

Pallbearers for the service will be Travis Constanzo, Carlos De La Cruz, Tele De La Cruz, Kade Frazier and Konnor Frazier, Andy Zimmerman, dear friends and honorary family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disability Resources Incorporated or the Laura Bush Institute for Women’s Health. Jenna’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the Hendrick Cancer Center, Hendrick Hospice, Dr. Tony Melnyk, Dr. Jane Rowley, Beltway Church and The Hamil Family Funeral Home for their incredible care.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday afternoon, March 11th at Beltway Park Church North Campus (2850 TX-351, Abilene, TX 79601) with Grant Zeller officiating. Burial will follow at the family ranch north of Merkel, TX with a small reception to follow.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, March 10th from 4-7 pm at 1058 CR 257, Abilene, TX 79606 to gather with loved ones and celebrate her life. Jenna’s love of life was vast and contagious, and we know she would want these events to be a celebration. To honor her radiant spirit, we ask that everyone wear your brightest colors and/or biggest, most sparkly jewelry to the visitation and funeral if you are comfortable doing so. Thank you to so many friends and family for your continued love and support.
