Jenise Shepard

Jenise Donell Shepard went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Abilene. Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 7 at Southwest Park Baptist Church, with David Cason and Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Jenise was born in Abilene on April 4, 1969 to Phil and Dorene (McAlister) Allen. She graduated from Temple Christian School in 1986 and attended Cisco College for Business and Computers and Texas State Technical College and graduated with a medical transcription Certificate and worked in customer service for DirecTV and Apple.

Jenise married Stephen Shepard on February 28, 1997, and they had two sons. Jenise loved nothing more than being a mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Phil Allen and brother, Eddie Allen.

Jenise is survived by her husband Steve, her mother Dorene Allen, her son Dustin Shepard and his wife Tilden and their children Weslee and Tinslee and son Brandon Shepard, a sister Cindy Waltrip and her husband Frank, a nephew Chris Waltrip and his wife Tammy and a niece Tiffany Gill and her husband Shalon, great-nieces and nephews Sara, Karlee, Kaydence and Preston and great-great-niece Addilyn.
