Janet Lynn Carver Vincik was born in Weatherford Texas, Parker County, on February 15, 1951 to Arthur and Ruby (Bradley) Carver. 

Her father Arthur Herman Carver was in the Korean war at the time. He was also a WW2 veteran. She is divorced and not currently married and has no children. She graduated from Rotan High School, Rotan Tx in 1969. She attended medical transcriptionists school in 1969 at Hendricks hospital in Abilene, Texas. She worked for Hendricks hospital for 8 years, Dr William Davis for 7 years, MQ records recording for 5 years and Dr Core Johnson for 25 years and retired in 2013.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Herman Carver, mother Ruby Merle Bradley Carver and nephew Dr Nathan Bradley Carver.

Janet Lynn Carver Vincik is survived by her brother Larry Don Carver, niece Tammie Lee (husband Ed Lee), grandnephews Bryar Bradley Carver Skelton, Curtis Johnson, Marshall Lee, Paul Lee, grandnieces Chelsie Serrano, Shelby Castleberry and great grandnephews Casey Johnson, Brenden Serrano and Bentley Serrano. Janet was loved by all her extended family and friends.

Janet bought approximately 210 acres of land in 1979 in Nolan/Taylor County and resided there for years enjoying the outdoors and wildlife on the ranch which became a wildlife management ranch. Janet's passions were shopping for antiques, gardening, knitting, taking bus tours, reading books and estate sales. Janet also wrote a monthly email of the Bradley family history where she posted family history spanning 5 generations of dates of birth, anniversaries, deaths, births etc. of all family members for many years.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Lee, Curtis Jonson, John Wilson, Shelby Castleberry and Jonny Seaton.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday, August 10, 2026, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Abilene, Texas 79606
