Janelle Stone Blackstock

Janelle Stone Blackstock, loving wife, mother and Nana to eight beautiful grandchildren, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road on Thursday, March 26th, at 2 p.m. Janelle was born to Bill and Jean Stone on October 21, 1949, in Big Spring, Texas. She had been a resident of the Abilene area since 1975, and married to L. E. "Rusty" Blackstock for thirteen years. Mrs. Blackstock was a homemaker and a Baptist. Her father, mother and two sisters, Donna Phillips and Margie Sandifer, preceded Janelle in death. Janelle is survived by her husband, Rusty Blackstock of Buffalo Gap; daughter, Lisa Reed and husband, Chad, of Lubbock; son, Jeff Neill and wife, Staci, of New Braunfels; stepdaughters, Mindi Green and husband, Curtis, and Cori Amstead and husband, Kris, all of Midland; and eight grandchildren, Katlin, Will, Hunter, Cole, Alli, Kelsey, Kyle and Kameron; and stepmother, June Stone of Big Spring.
