Helen Carol Slone

Helen C. Slone, 84, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Abilene. Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Helen was born in Abilene to Herman and Thetis Slone on June 23, 1937. She graduated from Wylie High School. She retired from Texas Education Agency in Austin, TX after 30 ½ years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patsy L. Rodgers, and brother Herman C. Slone, Jr. Helen is survived by her sisters, Thetis S. Ragle, Violetta Slone, niece Sharon L. Storey of the home and numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Helen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Interim Hospice.
