Hal Michael Smith

Hal Michael Smith, 64, of Abilene passed away on May 27, 2021, in Abilene. Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm June 1, 2021, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10am, Wednesday June 2, 2021, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow at the Potosi Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Hal was born in Galveston, Texas to Hal & Hazel Smith on February 15, 1957. Hal attended school in Abilene. He worked for Harris Acoustic, G C O Drilling & A/1 Gasket and did painting and general contracting. Hal was preceded in death by his dad Hal M. Smith, a brother Dean Smith, and a nephew Dusty Apple. Hal is survived by his mother and dad Hazel and Dick Casey, 3 brothers, Randale Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Casey & wife Melody of Brownwood, TX and Rick Casey of Proctor, TX, 2 sisters Rhonda and husband Clayton Tettleton of Abilene, & Debra and husband David Havnor of Tuscola, TX, and his very best friend for over 50 years Jim Stewart & wife Linda of Wichita Falls, TX and numerous nieces & nephews. Pallbearers will be Jim Stewart, Mark Casey, Michael Lovell, Clayton Tettleton, Lee Vrammon, & Tannier Winters.
