Fredda Mae Morse, 83, of Abilene, passed away on February 6, 2024 in Abilene, Texas.

Memorial service will be 10:00am Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Elmdale Baptist Church, 233 Elmdale Rd South, Abilene, TX. 79602

Fredda Mae Saltzman Morse was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Fred L Saltzman and Dollie Mae Pruitt Saltzman on February 17, 1940. She graduated from Lilbourn High School in Lilbourn, Missouri and married Howard Ice. Together they had two children, Fred and Deborah. In 1991 she married Phillip Morse in Abilene, Texas and in 1996 they moved to Breckenridge, Texas. After Phil passed away in 1997, she remained in Breckenridge until returning to Abilene in 2010. While Fredda worked at several banking institutions over the years, she spent most of her career in civil service working for a short time at Scott AFB near Belleville, Illinois and retiring in 2000 from Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dollie, her husband Phil Morse and her son Fred and two daughters-in-law Tamara Ice, and Stephanie Ice , nephews Christopher Jones, Tim Simpson and Justin Smith and great niece Brittany Connelly.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Albert), her sisters Margaret (George) Niedecken, Janie (Jimmie) Smith, grandsons Matthew (Chasity) and Daniel (Candice) Ice and great granddaughters Makenzie, Kadynce and Nora. She is also survived by nieces Angela (Lenwood), Lisa (Jon), Wendy and Jennifer (James), nephew Tim, great nephews Banning (Brittney), Shanquez and great nieces Ayanna, Rylee, Kendall, and Samantha.
