Frank Guevarra, 88 of Tuscola, TX passed away on July 8, 2026, in Tuscola.
Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2026 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 11:00a.m. at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Rd. Abilene, TX. Minister David Cason is officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Frank was born in Santa Barbara, Ca. to Albert & Eva Guevarra on Jan 8, 1938. He went to school in Santa Barbara; he graduated from Santa Barbara high school. He married Cheri on Sept 3, 2011 in Santa Maria, Ca. He worked as a supervisor for the Santa Barbara post office for 34 years & retired. He was a veteran of the National Guard.
Frank was preceded in death by his mom & dad, his brothers John, Robert & Albert (aka Teager) & sisters Rosie & Cecelia & granddaughter Christa.
Frank is survived by Spouse #1 Norma, Spouse # 2 Cheri. His children Eddie Guevarra, Kathleen Johnson and husband Greg & Mark Guevarra and wife Melanie. His sister Barbara & his niece Teresa. Grandchildren: Daniel, Mark Jr., Rachel, Brad, Marty & Christopher. Great Grandchildren: Evan Kaeden & Olive.
Pallbearers will be Greg Johnson and Greg Crabtree.
Memorials will be given to Hospice of the Big Country.
The Frank & Cheri family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Oncologist Dr Anton Melnyk & all the nurses and staff at Hospice of the Big Country. We also want to thank my sister Toni and her husband Greg for coming to help me to care for Frank for his final days. I also want to thank Jesus for taking him home.
