Eva Mabel Longuet

Eva Mabel Longuet, 93, passed away Friday at a local nursing center. Mrs. Longuet was born June 25, 1912 to the parents of Taylor Majors and Gertrude Flanders Majors in Pensacola, Florida. She was a switchboard operator at the San Carlos Hotel and The Citizen-People National Bank and a member of the Brownsville Assembly of God Church in Pensacola, Florida. Mrs. Longuet has resided in Abilene since 1998. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry C. Longuet in 2001, one daughter Jean Haley in 2003. She is survived by one daughter Jo Ann Langston and her husband Milton of Abilene, one sister Aneva Louise Royal of DeLand, Florida, one brother-in-law, Ralph Haley, of Charlotte, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, thirteen geat-grandchildren, and one niece. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Bayview-Fisher-Pou Chapel with burial following at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. Local arrangements were made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.
