Glynn Awalt

Edwin Glynn Awalt, 78, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, March 22^nd in Abilene.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, April 2nd, at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Marc Farnell of CrossRidge Church in Little Elm, officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, Texas following cremation.

Glynn was born in Winters, Texas to Charlie and Meda Awalt on December 6, 1945. He graduated from Winters High School in 1964 and attended Angelo State College from 1964-1967, majoring in business. He worked in the oil industry for the majority of his career, retiring with DAB Oil Company in Abilene. Glynn served in the Texas National Guard from 1966-1972 and was honorably discharged with a rank of E5. He was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.

Glynn was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Meda Awalt, brother Charles Awalt, brother-in-law Tom Jones, and great-niece Charlotte Jones.

Glynn is survived by sisters Phyllis Jones and Joy Bishop, sister-in-law Beverly Awalt, nephews and nieces Shane and Tammy Awalt and family, Marc and Kim Farnell and family, Suzanne Jones, Kevin and Keegan Jones and family, Scott and Angela Jones and family, Jimmy and Staci McNeal and family, and Jamie Bishop.
