Donna Lee Scott

Donna Lee Scott, 78, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. The Reverend D.D. “Buddy” Wheat, PCUSA of Gatesville, Texas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery in Jones County. Donna was born in Pampa, Texas on June 26, 1936 to Jenning and Juanita Coomer. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1954. She married Max Scott on September 17, 1954 in Pampa. She worked as a secretary for Baker Marine in Ingleside, Texas. Her hobbies included golf and square dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents. Donna is survived by her husband of 60 years, Max Scott of Abilene; two daughters, Tammy Hulme and her husband Lee of Chugiak, AK, Debra Hawthorne and her husband Mark of College Station; one sister, Beverly Miller of Pampa; four granddaughters, and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Loren Rice, Carl Payne, John Payne, Gerry Suthoff, Kenneth Stites and Kenneth McKelvain.
